If you have been searching for a Louisiana-based home and garden blog, you’ve come to the right place! Bayou Harvest blog is based in South Louisiana and born from a pure love of organic gardening, cooking, and preserving food. When we first started trying to grow vegetables organically, it was a struggle to find local mentors that could teach us where to even start. It can be very overwhelming with all of the information out there. After years of trial and error, fails and successes, we have gathered enough knowledge to share.
We don’t have it all figured out yet, but we’re inviting you to join us on this journey and together we will become better gardeners and cooks.
We believe there is wisdom in learning skills and doing things “the old fashioned way”. It takes patience and resilience, but it is so worth it in the end.
